I was half watching it and half doing other things, so I don't entirely know. My impression of the girls I saw was that they were nice people away from their dates, but seriously annoying while with men. Of course, they probably edited it to make the women look clueless so that's not very fair of me to judge. And I have said some stupid things on dates. I once told a date that being a journalist was like sailing with pirates because we oppose authority and make our own rules - um, wth?

Anyway, so basically, I was thinking "Of course they don't have dates..." but that's the reason why I'll keep watching...

I saw a little bit of it and the one thing that stuck with me was how defensive most of the girls were with men. It struck a chord with me because that's how I always was (am?). I think we do that to protect ourselves but it's certainly not very attractive.

Dating is really one of the most horrendous and fulfilling things, isn't it? I mean it's horrendous because of all the crap and horrible situations and what not. But it's fulfilling because it's one of the few times in life where you get to learn about and understand yourself in such a unique situation. I've been on dates where I didn't even like me. I thought it was an interesting show and I'll try to tune in more.

I liked how the yoga girl got drunk at the meet and greet party. Classic blubirde move.

I watched it and was pretty entertained throughout. Though I can relate to all four women, I liked Anne the best. The other girls seemed to be a little more dsyfunctional. I actually laughed at loud at the part where Teresa told Kris, "You are a classy and graceful woman... three drinks ago." I'm sort of taking that Two Drink Rule to heart because man oh man have I made a complete jackass out of myself in front of a cute boy because I drank one too many. I also liked the Drop The Hanky lesson. My guy friends all tell me I don't put out "the vibe" enough so that whole segment was really interesting and inspiring for me. I'm not too sure about the Love Coaches (really? Teresa Strasser?) but they seem to have a good intentions and good advice so far. I like the friendly chemistry the coaches have with the girls. I'll keep watching and I hope that the show doesn't move to Sucksville any time soon.

That was my favorite part of the night.

It was pretty good. I think the love coaches gave good solid advice that doesn't neccessarily have to be followed to the letter, but is the right general guideline.

Mwahahaha - very well put!!!! (And I've been on dates so bad I honestly considered apologizing to the poor guy later - but boys put me thru heck too, so I figure we're even).

And blubirde, just reading your comment & seeing the commercials makes me nod my head about the defensive thing. Man the things I did wrong while dating! (and still do....with my hubby)

Oh - and ETA - about apologizing to a guy - I did this with the first guy I went on a date with after my divorce. We really hit it off about a year later & we got to talking about that date - dinner in which he ordered cheese fries & I was home by 10 - turns out he scheduled another date AFTER me so he apologized to me as well (his excuse being that I was really pretty & he wanted to check me out but could tell I was defensive & jaded). My point being, don't feel too bad!

Did anyone watch this last night? I missed the first 15 minutes or so and then kept getting distracted for the rest of the show. I managed to catch part of the 'blind date' segment and thought it looked fun. Oh, and I can't decide if that Joey guy is a total creepster or really hot.
