STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

My DH got a really great bonus & I just finished writing the checks to pay off nearly everything we owe. We both had some lingering CC debt from our previous divorces & after I paid off everything I planned I still have a few thousand to play with so I stashed it in savings for now - that is after both of us having a little play money AND putting aside what he needs for his trip to Ireland. I'm so relieved & happy right now.

On a related note - our tv went completely blank yesterday. It is working right now but we figure some of that extra will be for a tv - DAMN IT - that always happens. But oh well, I am trying to convince DH to just do another $200 cheapy tv for now, save the difference & splurge on a cool tv next year at bonus time when we've had a while to breathe & recover from all these years of bills weighing us down! Why do men assume the cool tv is better than a savings plan?????

But all in all I'm am so freaking happy I just had to share with those I know will understand (and not lecture me for having cc bills to start with!) I get to start car shopping next week, just as we had planned! (trading in his & he'll use my paid for car)
