Breaking news on Pittsburgh news stations.... Big Ben's motorcycle has been found in an accident in the city of pittsburgh about 20 minutes ago.  They don't know if Ben was actually on the bike or not, (someone may have borrowed it) but more than likely it probably is ben.  There are fire trucks and ambulances on the scene.  I am really worried and hoping everything is ok.  He is known for not wearing a helmet :(


 


Just wanted to let all you steeler fans know.  I will update as soon as i find more info.


 


ETA: He had t-boned the car, hit his head off the window of the car, rolled over the car a few times, and then hit his head on pavement.  He is in serious but stable condition, he is in the operating room going under surgery.  He's coherent and making sense, knows where he's at etc..

Yes... And its confirmed that it was him... he has been rushed to the trauma unit at a local hospital.

oh dear, darling. ben roethlisberger! as in the quarterback for the steelers and super-human, god-like creature to many many pittsburghers. i just can't imagine what its like in da burgh tonight...three rivers..plus one of despair and heartache. i really hope he's okay, but a teeny part of me says "jacka**, wear your helmet!"


eta: he's at mercy and not upmc? maybe ive been gone for too long but isn't upmc way better than mercy?

RelRel.. UPMC is better for pretty much everything, but Mercy has a way better Trauma unit.
