so i posted a bit ago about a dress that i might wear for a wedding. you all picked one dress, and while i love it, the invitation says, semi-formal, sunday's best, or traditional indian attire.
while i know it fits into the category of sunday's best, since it's just a reception at night, i feel like since the dress is cotton, it might be too casual.
here's the dress:
it's not sheer in the fact you can see my undergarments, but if you look at the bottom, it's as sheer as the model's dress.
is this still appropriate? i'm scared i'm going to be underdressed as it's at night and a reception only eventhough it's in a small town.

I think if you wore some metallic sandals, maybe a wrap, and some dangly earrings it would elevate the look to semi-formal, even if the dress on it's own may not be.
However, if you are going to be self conscious or uncomfortable, then I'd consider wearing something else you already own, like #3 from your other thread.
What kind of facility is the reception at?
