Ok so I am married with a kid - so these things shouldn't matter to me...But I can't help it, it does! I am going to a 1st bday party sunday - its super casual - at a chinese restaurant....and my DREADED EX will be there...I haven't seen him in years - but I need to impress of course....
So I need an outfit that will be great - but without looking like I tried too hard and put an incredible amount of thought into it (Which clearly I am)
How about a pretty sundress and some espadrilles and some of your fabulous jewelry? I'd keep it simple and focus on getting something that fits really well in a beautiful color.
i would either do a sundress with flats (maybe jeweled flats), or cropped pants with wedges and a very very simple tee. i would accessorize with some great jewelry (yours). have fun. your gorgeous family is enough to make any guy jealous!

So true!
I like the sundress idea, with some of your jewelry. You have lovely skin and a sundress will show it off more than jeans (plus it's more summery). Wear your hair down - if it's not too warm - and thoroughly enjoy the fact that you are having a great life. That, more than anything, will really come across to your ex.
Have fun!

I agree with everyone; you always look so pretty that I'm sure he'll be impressed! I like atlgirl's idea of wearing your hair down and some of your own jewelry, and I prefer the sundress idea.

I love the sundress idea. I am going to actually go upstairs now and try on my dresses from the summer before I was preggo - hopefully one of them will be perfect...if not, maybe I'll just HAVE to stop at Anthro tomorrow and pick a little something up
