Do you like your name?

I don't really have an opinion of it either way ... I can't seperate myself from it, so it's hard to have an opinion about it! For a long time in grade school I wanted my name to be "Kristy," but it was more that I liked that name than I didn't like my own name.

But I like the name London! I would be happier if that was my name

Collette is one of my favorite names.

My name is Julianne and I didn't like it when I was little. I seriously thought my parents had just made it up--like put a bunch of letters together. Especially because some kids would go, "that's a weird name."

Now I love it and am glad I was always the only Julianne in school.

No, and no... My first name is Maude, which is just geriatric. I started using my midle name, Elizabeth, when I was 14, but that was pretty quickly shortened to Liz, which is ok. I like Elizabeth better, but I'm stuck with Liz now.

I've always liked my name - Paula. No-one else in my class ever had the same name but it wasn't a weird name, either. I especially like my name now that I live in the US. It's such a global name that I never have to spell it, no matter where I am.

I used to hate my name - it wasn't very common when I was a kid, so it was constantly mispronounced and misspelled. The teasing was pretty mild, mostly related to a certain Star Wars character.

It's getting more popular now, so most people can pronounce it and many even spell it right on the first try - there are lots of kiddies 3 yrs and under with my name. I like it now because it's feminine but not overly so and different without being you-neeeeek, and still not too common among my peers.

i just hate that mine is so common. when i was in high school, there were 3 mandys in my senior class. there were even more amandas. i always wished my name was more unique.

I don't like either my legal name or my nickname

Nickname (Sandy): It's somewhat geriatric, and I think people associate it with sunny Calfiornia blondes (I'm Asian and going blonde is against my personal hair laws). I have met very few other Sandys growing up, which was a good thing generally. I feel more like an Andie than a Sandy. I seriously considered changing my nickname to Andie when I got to college, but by then it was way too complicated and there were also a lot of Andi/Andy/Andie types (all short for Andrea).

Legal name (not disclosing...if you're really curious, pm me): It's Thai and while beautiful, it doesn't fit me either. It's fairly uncommon even in Thailand, though a certain activist with the same first name is always popping up in the news now. I am also SICK AND TIRED of people asking me "what country were you born in?" and talking to me like I don't know a word of English. My answer to that question "the Bronx, New York City, f***er"

Hell no, I don't! But does anyone *really* like their name? With a name like Keema, all I heard was "Keem-otherapy" and "Keem-osabe." Then Keemosabe morphed into Keemo-soggy and then just to Soggy. Great. Yeah, thanks a bunch, Mom.

Mine is Christin and almost everyone calls me Chris.

I actually like my full name a lot, but I hate it when I introduce myself as Christin and people immediately turn around and call me ChristinE, Christina, or Kirsten. I don't like Chris quite as much as Christin, but it is almost impossible to screw it up so I stick with it.

My name is Katherine but absolutely everyone calls me Katie, without exception. I wish it were less common, but I think it suits me. I used to really want to be named Sinead, but I've been told that it would just be too much if I had a weird name.

I've always loved my name. It's pronounced "Johnny," like the boys name, but I think the spelling definitely makes it more feminine. I'm named after my dad so that makes it even more special.

When I was younger people would try to tease me, but it never bothered me.

It does get mispronounced A LOT, and people are always asking what the origin is, to which I have to reply..."nothing really, my mom just made it up" but that's all ok!

That's funny, I always assumed you were Iranian or something because I have two Iranian friends named Jaleh and Jehan and Jahni sounded similar.

I like Stephanie. It suits me. Despite it being a popular girls name in the 1980s, I was always the only one in my grade. My parents gave me the somewhat trendy first name and my siblings all have old fashion, family names. For fun, I like to come up with tacky ways to respell my name... my latest favorite is S'tefany.

I hated my name growing up! But then in high school there was this really popular chick who shared the name as me. She was GORGEOUS, got crowned homecoming queen and everybody loved her. I so wanted to be just like her I was consoled by the fact that at least we shared the same name! Stupid, I know!

One of my friend's little sister's is named Maude and she's totally hot and it works really well for her. I've always imagined you to be hot so I'm sure you could rock it. I also like Elizabeth/Liz.

My name is okay, Belinda.. it could be worse lol. Growing up I never knew alot of belinda's so that was good even today I dont hear that that often. As far as it fitting my personality I never even thought about till now and still dont know
