Are shrugs "out"?

hmmm... not totally.  I think the tie front ones are a bit out now, but bolero styles seem to still be "in."

I think as long as you're not wearing them in a totally boho-looking outfit, you're probably fine. I have a few basic ones that are just black and brown..and I wear them.

glad you posted this ... i have been wondering the same thing.  i just can't bring myself to wear the ones that were staples last year and couldn't figure out why.

i just read in people's "summer style" issue that the tie front ones were "out", but then again, if you have ever picked up a people style issue, they contradict themselves constantly.  they will say something is "out" and then 5 pages later feature the same thing on a celeb or in a feature.  i tend to take their recos with a grain (or 7) of salt.

that said (forgive my people rant), i think they're still okay with the right outfit.  i think that if you're feeling it, wear it.  and if your not feeling it so much, you're probably right -- it's out.

I never have liked the tie front kind.  I'm not a big fan of shurgs but some are okay.

I never liked the tie front kind either.  I do own ONE bolero, but I couldn't careless if I never wore it again, though I do like it...

I still wear mine.  It is really the only way I can ever wear a spagetti strap top as stapless bras rarely work.

i think that it depends on your shape, rather than whether or not they're out.  if you have a large chest and linebacker shoulders, it's probably not a good look.

i don't really know if they are in or out, but i will say, in and out never really matters to me.  if i like something, i will wear it.  it never stopped me from wearing my bell bottoms which i still wear, or my cargo jeans that are so out right now.
