DVF dress...yea or nay?

On sale for $112, down from like $340. Is it gorgeous or am I blinded by the price? I've always wanted a supply of DVF wrap dresses in my closet. Eventually, I'd like to buy one every year or two to build up a collection.


Dress on skinny,tall model



Dress on petite, curvy Lilykind



Please excuse the slight back bulge...I think I tied the dress too tightly, but that's adjustable. Also, I will most likely NOT wear Havaianas with it.


Pros:



  • I LOVE the print.
  • I think the dress is for the most part really flattering. I would probably get the hem taken up a couple of inches so it'd be knee length.
  • The back is a little different from the typical DVF wrap.
  • I CAN WEAR A BRA!
  • I live in Los Angeles, so I can wear sleeveless dresses year round.

Cons:



  • I have large "farmer" arms and am not sure if this sleeve style flatters them.
  • Is the scale of the chain link print on the bottom half too large? I'm kind of petite (5' 3")
  • THIS DRESS IS A SIZE 10! If I'm a size 10 (I'm normally a 4-6), who the f*** is supposed to be able to wear this?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!

Please let me know your thoughts! TIA!


ETA: The CON in bold and the back view of the dress on the model since my hair is blocking the back view of the dress on me.

It looks a little tight, but if you either go up a size or adjust the wrap straps....

I say YES! I really, really love that dress...it's beautiful.

I think it can be dressed down to be casual..or, paired with some knee-high boots and look very sexy.

Awesome colors/print/cut.

Lilykind, I'm also a size 10 in DVF dresses. And I'm normally a size 6 in skirts, and 8 in dresses. I wouldn't worry about what the tag says, especially when that dress looks so great on you. $112 is a steal - I'd buy it, get it altered like you want, and wear it until it falls apart. :)

You seriously have to get it.  First of all it looks fabulous on you, the color/design is awesome, and what a bargain at $112.  I think you will end up regretting it if you don't

I would say that I am usually honest with you on how things look, so when I say this looks great on you and is very flattering I am being honest.  I think you must get this dress since it is at such a great price and looks wonderful on you.  Even if it is a size 10, it shows off your tiny waist and makes your bust look great.  The pattern is amazing and is very lilykind.  I don't think the print at the bottom is too big.  Looks great on you.  Congrats on finding such an amazing dress!!

Get it I think it looks great on you and if you're worried it's a liitle snug it's nothing some Spanx won't solve. I however don't think you need them it's very flattering on! If you don't mind sharing where did you find it on sale for $112?
