Help me find a denim skirt
Permalink Closed

I have this skirt from AE and I adore it...what I like: it's the right length (18 in) so it's short but not a mini, sits low on my hips, and is slightly a-line (doesn't ride up or shift around when I walk).

I'm trying to find something just like it, but without the distressing.  This one is a little too casual for certain situations.  Has anyone seen anything worth trying?

Thanks!!

ooh I think elle posted some denim skirts from jcrew not too long ago and one was slightly a line for $40 I think.  I would definetly check out the jcrew website though.

Oohh, I am serious need of a non-mini denim skirt too.  Sorry, no help, but I understand the difficulty in finding one!

This one is a little longer, and probably more than you want to spend, but I do think it's dressier, and it's still my ultimate denim skirt:

Here is the one I got from Urban.  It is a denim pencil skirt.  I am planning on wearing it tomorrow so I will try to remember to take a pic.

I don't know how much you want to spend - but I can atest to the fact that the 7 skirt is the greatest denim skirt I've ever owned - worth ever penny.  I'm 5'7 and it hits right at my knee.

Thanks ladies!  HeatherLynn and Kitty, if you wouldn't mind letting me know how you like your skirts, I would really appreciate it!!

And shopchicago, I looooove your skirt - is it TTS?  Do you notice if it "stays put" when you walk/sit?  Does that make any sense?

It does make sense, and yes, it stays put when I walk/sit.  It's also TTS.  I wear a 27 in COH's, TR's, Sevens, etc, and I took a 27 in this.  Get it, get it.  Ok, I'll stop enabling now

pbi, but I have that skirt too (wearing it now ) and I love it! I have always had problems with denim skirts riding up and this one doesn't. This is how it fits me:

I like it because it's really structured and dark.

I just tried this skirt on tonight and I have to say it looks REALLY awesome one. It;s $29.99 in-store.

Lux Denim Pencil Skirt

I would own it if I could justify owning a skirt that restricted my walking movement. I walk everywhere so that could get potentially annoying after some time.
