Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale or Anniversary Sale

I see that the Half yearly sale starts in a couple of weeks and I was wondering... does anyone know which one tends to be better mark downs? I have been on a semi shopping ban for the last month and a half, so I can buy some nicer pieces at the sale: preferably a nice bag and shoes, maybe a belt. It seems the website has added quite a lot of items the last couple of days- so maybe online they will have many sale items prior to the store sale. TIA!
