I have never actually fainted before, I mean I've felt dizzy and such but never actually pass out! Anyway, I was outside sitting in the sun for about 1 hour and 15 minutes and I ate and drank something before I went out and was drinking water while outside, it was only 80 degrees outside and partly cloudy, so I wasn't even very hot, as a matter of fact I felt pretty good. Well, I come inside to grab some lunch and some iced tea and everything felt kind of dim, I figured it was just my eyes adjusting to the light. So, I continue to try to fix a sandwich and I start feeling dizzy so I pour some sweet tea, figure I just need some sugar in my system. That didn't help, I started sweating and feeling really hot and dizzy, so I go to the bedroom and sit on the edge of the ottoman with the fan blowing straight on me full blast. I put my head in my hands and rest my elbows on my knees and am thinking I'm feeling better, the next thing I know I feel myself laying flat and am totally disoriented, well I was on the floor inbetween the ottoman and the fireplace and my iced tea was spilled everywhere. I banged my left knee really bad and bruised up my right leg, scraped my left elbow and right shoulder and scraped right by and upbove my left eye, no idea how I got injuries on both sides of my body!?! Anyway, it was a super weird feeling! But I feel fine now, it was just kind of scary that I hit myself so close to my eye!
omg! are you feeling ok now? i've fainted twice in my life and it was because i hadn't eaten all day both times. the last time was @ work--superembarassing but understandable--it was really late, i hadn't eaten, i was feeling dizzy but just trying to get through briefing the judge (this is back during the clerkship) and next thing i know, i'm flat on the floor in chambers! the judge said that i suddenly just fell gently to the floor and fainted! so weird, when i woke up i was fine but you're right it is a very weird feeling!
anyway, i know i fainted because i hadn't eaten, do you suspect a particular reason why you may have fainted? maybe going to the doctor to check would be a good idea...
Well, talked to my mom and she thinks I'm preggo which is crazy cause I'd literally be like 2-3 days pregnant, but I guess when she got pregnant with my brother she passed out about 2-3 days after his conception and his conception was about a week after her cycle ended which is where I would have been this last weekend... so, I guess fainting could be a good thing, well we'll know about a month from now It has to either be that or the heat
Glad you are okay and not hurt worse! Preggo was the first thing I was thinking when I read your initial post...I will be eagerly waiting to hear if you are pregnant!
It might have just been the sun though; I had that happen to me once - I was in the sun for about 30 mins and suddenly felt totally woozy and like I was going to pass out. Had to go inside and lay down a bit. Nothing else ever happened, but maybe it was just some weird fluke?

oh my goodness! preggo was the first thing I was thinking too- here's hoping for ya! But no more passing out, ok? That scares me with you being by yourself all day...
I fainted once in line at an amusement park while waiting in line on the hottest day of that year. I had eaten and drank lots of water, but it wasn't enough I guess. It could have been the heat that caused you to faint... but I'm anxiously hoping that it wasn't

This was my first thought, too. I'm glad you're okay, though! Keep us posted!
Glad you are O.K. I have fainted once before when I was visiting my sister in London. I had just woken up and my sister's baby fell out of the crib and she was freaking. Next thing I new, I woke up to my sister lightly slapping my cheeks. I couldn't hear her at first. Then I came to consciousness. I smacked my nose really badly and it still hurts to this day if I rub it wrong.
Anyways, it is a bit scary. I hope you are pregnant - sounds like you are trying?
