I'm thinking my legs look a little stubby in the flats with this dress. Maybe a short heel? What do you all suggest? Oh, and opinions on the dress are appreciated too; it's new and I'm just trying it on in the picture so if it's hideous let me know so I can return it! Also, do you all think the dress would look better with short sleeves? I'm considering getting the sleeves shortened, but after hearing the comment about a nurses dress re: ShopChicago's white dress, I'm not so sure anymore... Honest comments only!
Oh, wow, Poptart! You totally sold me on those shoes. First of all they are my absolute favorite color and secondly they are casual, but still give nice height. I'm definately getting them!
I still want other shoe suggestions, please. I really just need more shoes.
ETA: I'm talking about the green ones!
ETA again: Detroit, I bought them through your Zappos link :)
Hey Drew what about wood jewelry and a gladiator type sandal? I think flat might be okay if it was a little more opened up. I'm not 100% sold on that belt with the dress though...What material are the buttons?

Cute stuff, IAPT. I'm leaning toward heels because I think my legs look stubby in the flats and I went for a more closed shoe to make it more work appropriate. I'm funny about lots of feet shown at work for whatever reason... The buttons are black plastic. The belt was just in the box so I threw it on with the dress thinking it needed a belt and I thought it kinda worked but I'm not 100% sold on it w/the dress either. Thanks for the suggestions.
These two are super cute and are from Steve Madden. I'm lusting after them myself but I think they will super cute with your dress. Not to high, just the right size heel and perfect for summer! Dress up or dress down.

i love the green shoes poptart posted, they're totally cute and totally you. here's my two cents on the dress: it's cute but i don't necessarily think it flatters your figure. i don't think you should return it though, just maybe work w/ the belt, try cinching it more to show off your waist a little more. or you could go the completely opposite route and take off the belt all together and wear it as a shift dress. also, the sleeves are fine but if it were completely sleeveless and showed off your fabulous arms, i think that would be really cute too. however if you're trying to make it work appropriate maybe leave the sleeves as is?
I love the green wedges with it! I think it needs a thick woven leather belt cinched in to show off your waist. I'd leave the sleeves the way they are now and it will work into early fall paired with jeans or even brown or olive leggings. Oh, I totally think wooden jewelry would look great (but as you can tell from my TS post, I think wooden jewelry goes with just about everything for summer ).
Cute dress, but I gotta be honest, I don't love the length. I was looking at your other dress pics in TS, and I think the two that hit at your knee are much more flattering. It's cute, just not super-fabulous.
I'm beginning to think I love the idea of the dress, or rather how it looks on the hanger, but not so much on me.
jj, you're so right that other stuff flatters so much better. I really hate working with my jumbo-sized thighs (comparatively speaking, of course) and they seem to be the problem here too. I guess that's why I was thinking heels would make it look better -to lengthen my legs.
I think I may just do the MJ dress because that exaggerated A-line is perfect for my figure and probably wouldn't need any alterations.
I really appreciate all the responses and love the shoes y'all posted! Thanks for your advice and suggestions, they're helping me make a decision...
I went to Anthro on my lunch break to return something and I saw that dress. I think it's cute...but there's something very baby doll dress about it that brings me back to the early 90s.
I cannot tell but it looks like it has a really big hem. Maybe it can be taken down just to the knee. I was thinking it could be cute without the belt and maybe with something like this. More med style w/ wooden jewelry.
