i want to mold a necklace pendant out of clay...any recs?  i want it to be a glossy black and hard- should i use something like fimo, then bake it, then put a laquer on it?  i dont have a kiln.  any sculpting material recs- random question i know...

Fimo is similar to Sculpey right? My sister used to make lots of really detailed things with Sculpey when she was little and they're still in perfect condition after years. And you can definitely lacquer it so it seems like that would be a good option. I'm not sure what other kinds of clay would work without a kiln.

are you looking for something that would look like bakelite? shiny and hard, right? you might wanna look into polymer clays which are sold at pretty much all arts and crafts stores and you can "bake" the clay right in your oven at home, no kiln needed.
