Hi, anyone try this? I saw the infomercial months and months ago and I thought it looked like a really good workout.

I am looking for something to do at home when I don't feel like going to the gym.

Thanks!

I've never tried Billy Blanks, but I am pretty happy with my PUSH training DVD. Just like my real trainer. I get a great workout - in my own home - and it progressively gets harder (they send you a new DVD customized specifically to your needs once a month) - and for the cost ($25) - its a great deal. I know some of the other STers do it too. its www.push.tv - let me know what you think if you decide to try it.

Thanks for the suggestion! I will have to look into that.

I am a fitness instructor so I only work out at home when I just don't feel like going to the gym. I often get bothered by other employees who pull me away from my workout to "sub" a class at the last minute or something.

How many times a week do you have to do your PUSH DVD in order to get results? Or do you only do the DVD as a supplement to your regular workouts?

HI,
You are supposed to do the first workout (there are 2 strenght trainings and one cardio each DVD/month) 3x/wk for 2 weeks and 100+ minutes of the cardio/wk. Then you switch up to the second workout and follow the same routine. The first month is always core training - which I like because I feel you need to strengthen your core before focusing elsewhere. I have received my second month - but havent tried it yet. (Slacker!) I signed up for the mid-range workout level and requested 40 minutes sessions instead of the 30 minutes. I figured it would be cake since I workout and run regularly - ummmmm, not so! I am sore the next day!!! So, if you are a trainer - I would definitely go for the highest level workout - workout warrior, I think. If you decide to do i t- call their customer service number and tell them you are a trainer and have them customize it for you. That's the beauty of this program - its designed specifically for me - and not a canned workout. I'll be very interested to see what you think of it since you are a professional. The first time I tried it - it was the day after I had worked out with my trainer and it was cool b/c Bob Harper (my virtual trainer) was having me do some of the exact same exercises as my real trainer! That was a good sign! But to answer your last question, I have replaced working out 3x a week with my trainer to once a week and my PUSH DVD. That was primarily for cost reasons - I just bought a car, but I feel like I am getting an equivalent workout. Let me know if you try it!! Check their sites - I know they have a special going with FitTV and with Special K. You might be able to sign up through one of those. Good luck!
