i'm thinking about getting a pair of dr. scholls. this style, most likely in navy...

honest opinions? my mom used to wear these when i was younger, so i think they're kinda 70s/80s cool. or am i losing my mind? are they just clunky and ugly? i'm envisioning wearing them casually this summer, just kicking around on the weekends in capris or skirts. thoughts? can these be cute in 2006??

I think they're adorable!  The wooden ones aren't the most comfortable ones though, at least on me.  And yeah, I remember my mom wearing them too.

I'm not a fan, but if you like them you should get them!

I remember these being big about 8 years ago or so.  The wood heel is just not comfy even though it's Dr. Scholl's, I remember my feet slipping in them all the time.

I think they are really cute! I remember when I was a kid my mom had a red pair from the 70's and I just thought they were the coolest things. I would wear them around the house. I want to get a pair, because of their vintage vibe. I like red and white:

Edit: sfcaligirl, I didn't see the bottom of your post, you basically said the same thing I said. Anyway, get a pair!

I have been wanting a pair for a few years now.  I think they are cute and I wear shoes with wood soles all the time and I've never had a huge problem with comfort.  I will say my foot does slip sometimes but not too badly or often.  You just have to get use to the wood.

Oh and I sometimes find them at the outlet mall onsale or tj maxx/marshalls so you might want to check there.

I think they are super cute & i wish I could wear them.  I borrowed my sister's once & "fell off" the heel somehow & the wood dug right into that fleshy part of my foot.  It was very painful, felt like stepping on a heel or something.  I couldnt keep them on very well.

I think they are cute. I had something like that from SM that I used to wear all the time.
