I bought these Via Spigas last week, and I love them. But this is my first pair of "nude" shoes and I'm not sure the color's working for me. I have a big need for black shoes (I have virtually none) and am thinking maybe I'd get more use out of them in black. What do we think? Have any of you had shoes dyed and liked the results?
*ignore the funky thing the ankle straps are doing in the first shot. They were tightened all the way.

No, no, no. I think they look great. I love the color. If you dye them I think you will lose the great detailing in the shoe. Also the ankle strap might have a leg shortening effect if it were in black. You could wear these with so much. I think they may be more versatile than black especially with summer on the way. I think they're fabulous just the way they are.
hmm...guess i'm the dissenter, i think they'd look great dyed. i've only had shoes dyed once, years ago. they were these charles david wedges that were on sale but not available in my size. the only ones that were in my size were in another store and they were a "bone" color, but what i really wanted/needed were black shoes. so the charles david sa at my store called the sa at the nyc store and told them to hold the shoes, dye them, and then ship them. a few weeks later, voila, perfect black wedges. i never even saw them in the "bone" color. now years later, i don't really wear them but for a while i wore them every day and the only place where the dye came off a *tiny* bit was at the ankle strap where the buckle was.
anyway, long story short i think you could totally dye them and i bet the cool detail of the shoes will still show, just in a more subtle way. hth and good luck!
I think they are hot, and nude shoes are very versatile. I don't know how the dyed leather would turn out, would you have to find a shoe person on your own? That might be risky
Crap! I was really thinking I'd like them dyed...but I will defer to the majority opinion. I do like them as is - I think I'm just not used to the color (or lack of, haha) on my feet.
