Only one week left til the two hour season finale!

My thoughts: well, I was wrong about Michael being brainwashed. I felt a little sorry for him last night, but not entirely -- he should have come back, told them what really happened, and figured out a way to get Walt back without murdering people and leading others into a trap. But my boyfriend Sayid, smart cookie that he is, picked up that Michael has been "corrupted."

I think the sailboat at the end of the episode will have Desmond in it -- didn't he have a sailboat that wrecked on the island, and that's how he ended up stuck there? So no rescue yet.

It seems like Mr. Eko suspects Michael of being a part of A-L's and Libby's deaths, but he's staying focused on the hatch now and not telling anyone.

I was so happy that Charlie threw all his heroin in the ocean! It was nice to see Claire starting to accept him again.

That was a great episode, can't wait for the finale!

I think the boat has something to do with Michael cause he told the others that he'd need the boat.  Not sure what for???

And yeah, I think Eko knows something and the way he did that whole story to Michael while cleaning up the blood and wringing it out of the towel was intense, Michael was squirming for sure.

I just watched it after taping it last night. I agree - Eko is onto Michael. That whole story he was telling about the little boy killing his dog made Michael uncomfortable. Sayid is genius! I can't wait to see what he's going to plan since he knows that Michael's been compromised. I think the boat has something to do with Michael too, since he told Miss Clue that he'd need a boat. Poor Walt- I wonder what kind of tests they're running on him? And does anyone have any theories as to why the Others just want Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sawyer?

Here are my Lost thoughts:

1. What's up with Alex?  If the Others captured her when she was a baby, why is she "nice" compared to the rest of them.  She doesn't buy into what they're doing.  Otherwise, she wouldn't have freed Claire.

2. Please, please tell me that I misheard the name of the Other woman who interrogated Michael. I heard "Miss Clue."  Television Without Pity spells it "Miss Klugh," but still, the fact that it sounds like "Clue" is just plain cheesy.

3. I'm trying to figure out what Jack, Sawyer, Kate, and Hurley all have in common. At first I thought it was that they've all hallucinated something on the island. (Jack's dad, a boar, a horse, and Dave). But then Hubby reminded me that Charlie hallicunated about baby Aaron floating out to sea in his cradle. The only other thing I could think of is that they're all "bad," but what's Hurley done?

4. I'm kind of sad that Eko is taking up residence in the hatch to be the button-pusher. Hopefully, Locke succeeds in smashing the button computer in the next ep. In the preview for next week, we only get a glimpse of him taking a sledgehammer to the computer and Eko trying to stop him.

5. The only person on that island that I would trust with the guns is Sayid. He's also the first person I would go to if I wanted to run off into the jungle and shoot some Others. I'm happy he's figured out that Michael is batshit insane. Hopefully, he will follow Michael's group with a gun or two and save them from the trap they're obviously walking into. I'd like to see Sayid kick some ass.

6. Clearly, the Others are faking their settlement, they don't live that way. But, is the hatch that they're guarding fake? Their hatch with the rectangle logo wasn't on Locke's map.

7. After seeing Michael vomit, I wonder if the Others gave him the cure to the "sickness". The map in the hatch room said "the cure makes you sick." Aaron got the cure in utero and he got sick a while later. Or maybe Michael just feels really guilty for murdering two people.

8. I wonder if the boat is a way for them to introduce more redshirts new characters. I'm hoping the boat's empty, or perhaps contains something freaky.

9. Hopefully Claire isn't dumb enough to inject herself and Aaron with an unknown Dharma drug. *shudder*

10. "I screwed her." I love Sawyer.

11. I watched part of the preview in slomo (yay Tivo!) and saw that Desmond is in next week's ep. That should be interesting. Maybe he was on the boat.

My hypothesis: when Michael said he'd need a boat, I think he was referring to the motorized one the Others were in when they kidnapped Walt at the end of last season. But the one we saw in preview for next week was not the same boat as that one, and it appeared to be newer and also a sailboat, which is what Desmond had (if I remember correctly). So, I think there are two boats in play here...

Remember he killed two people when he stepped on the dock?  He was too heavy and it collapsed.

Sayid would be "bad" by that definition too, no? I mean he tortured people and whatnot. Hurley killed some people by accident.

I totally agree with this, I think Desmond will either be in the boat or have soemthing to do with the boat.  If they don't address the Desmond issue in the finale I may just go crazy!  I need to know where he's been.

What a great episode it was last night though!  I'm in love with Sawyer by the way ladies, so Back off, he's mine!

Yeah, I agree.  I was just pointing it out.

I've heard people say that it's because they've all seen visions but then again so has Charlie.  I don't think there's really a plausible reason yet but we'll find out.  Maybe those 4 were just strategically the best people to remove from the camp?  I don't know.

there always is some connection. I don't have a reason for those particular 4 but I've missed a lot of episodes this season so I'm a little behind in the links between all the characters. Man I need to get Tivo.

Didn't in the preview they were saying how all of it is fake?  Meaning there was no plane crash, and this is all in their heads, that would explain some things like people not having health issues they had prior to the crash.

I think I read somewhere that the producers of the show have already ruled out that theory. The health issues can be explained by the island's magnetism, like what the faith healer said in the episode when Rose was unable to be healed by him, but when she got to the island she was miraculously healed, and so was Locke.

Yeah, the show is definitely not a dream or all in their heads. That's one of the first theories that got squashed.

I think the boat will have Desmond on it as well. He's supposed to be showing up on the season finale and he's not supposed to 'look too good.' I would think that sailing around on that little boat would make him look pretty crappy.

I think that the reason Michael threw up was that he is so filled with emotional turmoil and sickened by what he's done and what he's planning to do. He's not really a bad person, he's a grieving father going crazy. And it's taking it's physical toll.

I thought it was interesting that Miss Klugh asked Michael if he ever saw Walt in places that he shouldn't have been. She also said something like, 'For someone who wants to get their son back so badly, you don't know very much about him.' That was the exact thing that the lawyer (in season 1 or maybe it was the beginning of this season, I can't remember) said to Michael when he was fighting for custody for Walt.

The Others are definitely faking their living situation. And Walt said to Michael, 'they aren't who they say they are.' And then Miss Klugh asked if he wanted to be put in the room again. Weird exchange.

Eko soooo knows that Michael offed Ana and Libby. That's why he told the dog story.

Someone is supposed to be killed off next week and it's one of the main characters. My bets are on Sayid or Michael.

It's not a dream.
I think it more likely that the crash was staged and therefor didn't really "crash" in the way people assume.

I hope it's Michael.  Not because I dislike Michael, I think he's an interesting character, especially w/ what's happened to him lately.  But, I really like Sayid and he's the only level-headed person on the island! They can't kill him!

For all those interested, this is a great Lost blog. The writer has some really great insights. She hasn't reviewed this past week's episode but it's still worth it to go back and read her thoughts on past episodes.

This week's episode was so good!  I'm so curious to see next week's episode!

Question:  The injection thingy that Charlie gave Claire--did he say he tried it out on himself?  If so, does that mean that he's got the "cure"?  I have a feeling that him giving her the injection thing is going to come back and be important next week.
