Fashion Do or Fashion Don't?
Permalink Closed

I saw these in Lucky last issue I think, and can't decide. I am kind of torn on whether I like them. I think you have to find the right one, but I still don't get it really. What is the point? It reminds me of a balloon valance. Does anyone like these bubble skirts that are the "rage" for Fall!? (Actually, these aren't the exact ones from Lucky..one is Urban Outfitters I think, and one is Theory, I don't know about the black one)

I have a knit bubble skirt and I love it.  I really like how they are kind of bouncy and girly and full, but then I am a very girly girl.

I don't really get it, either. They're definitely not for me. I do think that last one is pretty cute, though. :)

I think they're a lot of fun in a girly way too, but I love flouncy skirts so this is a pretty natural extension for me.

They're not really my thing, but I think some people can really pull them off and they look cute. But in general, not so much a fan.

It depends for me, I like the hem on the theory one, but not on the others.

Yech. For me personally, at least. But I really just don't like them in general. Sounds like we're kind of split on whether they're a Do or Don't.

Meh, I don't dislike them on other people, but they are a little too trendy for me.  I'm already tired of them.

Yeah..I actually had a black and white polka dot one from forever21 that I thought looked good..but I ended up returning it because I figure this is a 5-minute trend.

I personally wouldn't wear it because I'm already a big girl & I try to avoid "flounce" - I have seen it on a few people in person & thought they looked adorable. I just think you have to have the right body to make it look cute.

I have a knee-length knit one, and I love it because it makes my legs look pretty skinny, and that's kind of rare. I just think it's a pretty flattering style since it also makes my waist look really small if I pair it with a more fitted shirt. It might be kind of trendy, but I plan on wearing it even if it goes out of style because I think it's cute.

I don't like them, I think regular hems are more flattering

I don't think a trend can be classified as a do or a don't.  It's entirely subjective. Either you like it or you don't but don't let other people's opinions sway you as to whether it's appropriate to wear or not. If you like the look - go for it. All that matters is whether you like it or not

Nice end note that cap all those yays, nays, and undecideds off, Detroit. I actually look at trends, and still only go with what I like. It is amazing to me that everyone is so undecided on this matter. It really is a matter of opinion, I suppose.
