Review of Marc by MJ Grosgrain pumps

I am in love! Ok, so I was only able to wear them for a few minutes last night cuz I already had painful corns from another pair of shoes, but I think once I get that under control they will be awesome! They are a bit snug but I think after some wear they will fit perfectly! The inside is almost like suede, so comfy! The heel is not too high, gosh I dunno what else to say really... oh, other than they run TTS to a bit small. I got a 8.5 (39) but I think a 9 would have been perfect to a little loose. Oh well, no one had a 9 so here we are! Once I wear them for an extended period I will re-review!

The do look cute on...

I got mine last night and tried them on for about an hour or so with some stuff.  After that I decided I'm going to return them.  I found the leather to be very hard, not buttery-soft like the MJ's I've got on today.  They fit fine, maybe a tad loose on one foot as the heel slipped out a few times.  They are pretty high (I think 4"), but I like that.  They just hurt my feet.  I'm glad you like yours though.

Man I want these shoes but I tried them on and found them to be very uncomfortable.

You know what I just realized? The inside could have been lined w/ thorns and I would have still loved them! I think I have gotten to the point where I just accept the pain and don't even realize that I should return something that hurts. I've got tons of shoes, most of which leave me crippled at the end of the day, but to me it's just part of wearing shoes. Even my sneakers are a little painful... am I a masochist???

Yes.

Haha, just kidding.  But, really expensive shoes shouldn't hurt.  That's the whole reason I fell in love with designer shoes, because they fealt like slippers, even 4".   I've tried on several designer shoes that hurt my feet, usually it's hard leather or something rubbing my foot from the shoe.   I don't feel those shoes are worth the price so I won't buy/keep them.  Trust me when I tell you that they don't have to hurt.

Oh no... do you think I should size up? (even though they don't have my size so i'd have to pay retail ) Maybe once I remove the corns they will be comfy...

I tried them on at our DSW.  I'm usually between an 8 and an 8.5.  The 8 was a little snug but the 8.5 was too big.  The next size up might be too big, but maybe you could do inserts.  How much did you pay?  I know they were discounted at DSW, but I forget how much (I was just trying them on for fun).  They had the flats too if anyone's interested.

wow, DSW?? NO WAY! I paid about $250 ($100 off retail, or 30% off). I'll have to head over & see if they have my size & a good price... I'm in shock they have them there!

Crystal - I saw them at one DSW close to my house but not at another.  One seems to carry a lot more designer shoes than the other.  I think you got a good deal with 30% off, I don't remember exactly but I don't think they were any more than 30% or 100 off retail.

They are really cute!

They're not cheaper at DSW. I saw them at the DSW in San Francisco and I think they were $295.

I think they're absolutely awesome..but I didn't even try them on because I didnt' want to temp myself.
