Ever have a crush on a Prof?

I have a HUGE crush on my linguistics Prof this semester. He is totally geeky but I think I just admire his knowledge of the subject and how philosophical he gets. Anyhow, how about you guys?

There've been a couple profs that I admired and really liked, and I knew that if we were in a different relationship, or if I were older, I'd be all over them. But I have a hard time seperating the teacher-student relationship from the two of us and seeing a prof as anything but.

Professors, no...but Teaching Assistants, hell yes!  Most of them were not much older than me anyway.

Same here.  I actually dated my TA after the semester ended.  For 9 years, we had a off/on relationship, but I finally walked away from his commitment-phobic a$$.

Dr. Douglass was a real hottie. I even went to a really boring lecture he gave this fall just to see him again.

Yeah - foreign language prof. He was so hot! After I was no longer his student (I took two classes), he actually asked me out. We'd go and shoot pool and stuff, and had a few dates...but sadly, he was a terrible kisser. It really took the edge off and nothing else ever came of it. But boy, I really used to enjoy going to those classes...

oh yeah.

and TA. oh yeah again. God I remember one that I took a summer class with that was sooooo hot. And he totally liked me too. But by the end of the class I realized that I knew more about the subject than him, which was kind of a turn off. I mean, he was supposed to be teaching the class and I had to correct him on his points several times after the class was over. (I remember one class he was trying to say that he thought Gary Condit would get reelected- after he had already lost the primary!)

Absolutely. And he was old. My Econ teacher in my 2nd year - I seriously almost switched my major - I thought he was SO brilliant (still do!). He actually gave talks at a lot of organziations that I was in for business once I graduated too & I always just sighed.....I never ever missed that class & it was early!

I had a prof. who was the spitting image of R@lph F!nnes. Seriously, they could have been brothers. Made getting to German class at 8 a.m. so much easier. Sadly, he was married, but his wife would bake us the most wonderful bread for him to bring us in class. Amazing.

Also, there was this TA I totally crushed on first year. So far out of my league -- he was Mr. Ice Prince -- and yet so hot!

long story...when I was a senior in college I audites a class at Cornell to see if I wanted to go to gred school there...I ah this professor, he was only 5 years older than me...we got together to read and critique some of my writing and we hit it off....we dated for the rest of that year and for the next 1 and a half years while I was in grad school, but I did not take any of his classes so not to blur the line between teacher and student...we lived together and I really liked him, we still keep in touch

Heck yes I did!  I actually took three classes from him -

After the first two, he came into the bar I was working (coincidentally) and we talked about his band.  I suggested they play at my bar and gave him the owners card with a stupid "call me!" on back, with my number.

He never called me or the bar....

Shameless hussy that I am, I still took another class from him, and he never said anything about it (mercifully.)

I didn't just take the classes b/c of the crush though, he was a great teacher - very passionate about the subject - I think that's actually what drew me to him more than anything else (plus he was young enough that it could have been feasible.)

TOTALLY.  i had a huge crush on a prof. in law school, all the girls were completely divided about him, half thought he was superhot the other half were shocked and appalled!  it's funny, i ran into him recently and to this day i turn into a giggling schoolgirl around him, i just can't help myself--the weird part is he's not even that much older than me and in any other setting i'm sure we'd just interact like two normal adults but what can i say? i'll always see him as that sexy prof. that made mergers&acquisitions something to drool about

i have had crushes on profs but most of the time i used to think that they were kinda adorable or wacky... like i want to hang with him kinda style.

a TA or recent grad school grad once i think had a crush on me. he used to walk me to my room after the class he taught. maybe he didn't care if his conduct was unprofessional since he was only teaching one course at our school... he was also strangely all one color (like same color hair, eyes, skin... all monotone).

I never had a hot professor, but that didn't stop me from crushing on them. I tend to develop crushes on men because they are smart or funny or I'm bored. Looks are secondary.

yep... I've had crushes on two of the young, 30's-ish architects who teach the technical classes here. Seriously, every time my working drawings prof sat down at my desk to crit my drawings I would break out in a sweaty flush and didn't pay attention to a word he said. Completely embarrassing. And it's ridiculous to be impressed by somebody for knowing all about chase partitions, z-clips and other construction minutia... but there's definitely something very attractive, and very masculine, about architects who know their shit. Apparently the way to woo me is to sketch construction details freehand. Sad.

Yep, my Music Appreciation professor at community college who had also just finished his doctorate.  He looked a little like Anderson Cooper, not too old, but with premature gray hair and very slim.  I don't know why exactly I had a crush, he wasn't handsome in a mainstream way, but his shy personality and mannerisms seemed like a perfect match for me in my head.

My college physics teacher. British. He always wore his shirtsleeves rolled up and hated ties, and would always leave the top two buttons unbuttoned.  He was very fugly (funny & ugly)! But I have to admit---he's the kind of guy that I've been searching for since.
