Panties- recs?
Permalink Closed

I've been wearing Victoria's Secret signature cotton panties for, oh... 15 years now?  They weren't called Signature then, but they are the same panty.  All designs.  Last batch I bought were not made well.  I've stuck my finger straight through 3 pairs while pulling them on.  One thong BROKE at the crotch (that was nice...).  They are just not the panty I grew up with .  So, I'm looking for some new basic cotton panties for everyday wear.  Low rise thong, high thong, bikini, etc.

Any recs?

Yeah i had a BBV thong break at the crotch too.  thank god I got it with a free panty coupon otherwise I would have been majorly PO'd.  Their pink line isn't too bad but the stupid bikini's are way too low rise for my liking.  Low rise v-strings are good though from that line.  I haven't had any problems and I've had mine for 2 years now I think.

I also really like On Gossamer.  I get mine at the saks outlet for $3 a pair.  Loehman's has them too for $8 a pair.  I'm pretty sure I've seen them at marshalls and tj maxx somewhere between $3 & $8 a pair.  They fit really well and I haven't had any issues.

I also wear Cosabella (only when on sale at Nordies) and I'm 50/50 on them.  The cotton ones are ok and the mesh v-strings are ok but the last batch of low rise mesh thongs weren't too good.  Both pairs I bought now have holes around my hip bones.  I have no earthly idea how it happened either.  So I'd pass on those.

Cricket I have these but in the bright colors and I love them. They stay on my behind and not ride up, plus they keep their shape after washing them. they have other styles as well such as thong etc..HTH

I love the maidenform seamless hipster, they're the best fitting underwear ever and they're very flattering on.  No panty lines ever.

I Loooooooove these! They're "barely there" boyshorts, they don't show pantylines and they're so light. I have three pair and I always save them for "special days" like a fancy party or to go out dancing, because they're so great to wear...of course I'm going to get enough to wear them every day!

these are my new favorites.

they're vs pink lace-trim wide-side thong.  the lace is soo stretchy and comfy and leaves no bulges (i'm a bit mushy in the hip area so this is key for me).  they're nice and lowrise.  reminds me, i need to order some more!

Gilligan & O’Malley® Lattice Lace Boy Shorts - EbonyGilligan & O’Malley® Ultimate Hipster with Lace

i have been wearing these a lot lately and i love them.  i even wear them with jeans and i feel like i have a sexy secret.  and they are so comfy.  i got them at target.

i would also like to second the panties that asf posted.  but i get the same thing at target and they are of great quality and a lot cheeper than VS.  but i do love them, they don't leave even the slightest pantyl line.

also i would like to add the perfect panty from hanes.   they are amazing.  i love them.

Thanks girls!

asf- the vs pink thong sounds perfect for a thong.  I've been wearing their signature low-rise thong, but I can't wear them w/ anything stretchy because of "the bulge".  I need to try these ASAP.

ttara- these are intruiging too... I saw they were from Kohl's.  What brand?

Also, I've been curious about the Hanes panties that J.Love Hewitt does ads for.  Anyone try those?  They are supposed to have the "no panty line promise", I think.

Halleybird, if you see this... have you seen the On Gossamer panties that Aurora (still feels wierd calling her that), was talking about at the Saks outlet here.  I've never been.  I'm thinking I remember that you have.

My fave everyday panties are VS Pink in the string bikinis and the double string thongs - the strings are very soft and don't leave marks.  They also wah very well.

For other faves, I love UnderWoo, Cosabella, Sophie B, Hanky Panky, and AE!

The brand is called "barely there", I should've been more clear about that

I'm wearing them right now! (TMI? haha)
