My bag came in yesterday.


Hayden-Harnett Mulberry Havana Bag


It's actually a totally different color IRL, more of a reddish/pinkish plum. I think calling this bag plum is a bit of a stretch and would sooner have called it burgundy. In the end, that's for the better, since burgundy happens to be one of my favorite colors of all time. This bag is going to be a lot more neutral than I anticipated.  


The leather is thin, which is a definite departure from the harder Coach/LV leathers I'm used to owning, but it reminds me of Balenciaga leather in a way with teh whole sort of wrinkly/distressed thing going on. I personally prefer this leather to the Balenciagas, mostly because I think Balenciaga leather has a plasticky look sometimes. The leather feels very soft and fragile, but so far my long nails have accidentally brushed the bag a number of times. However, there are no scratches in sight.


The bag slouches perfectly and is the perfect size. It's a large bag, but I love carrying my whole universe with me so that's perfect. I think it's about twice the size of my LV Speedy 25.


I love the interior, especially the compartments. The interior is lined with the prettiest floral print silk. It's soooooo soft and so adorable. There's four compartments within the main portion of the bag, a zippered compartment on the perimiter and a comparment with a magnetic closure on the othr side of the perimeter. Even though the bag is gigantic, I haven't had trouble finding things in it.


The only complaint I have about the bag is that I have a bit of trouble keeping the flap closed when the bag is stuffed. It's something I'm willing to deal with, because every other detail in the bag is so nice.

Oooh, me me me! I want IRL pics! I'm mainly interested in a good representation of the color.

Even though I already ordered the Lorca in Mulberry, I would like to not be surprised by the color when I open the box.

Oooooooh....I am so glad you like it!  After being unsure about mine, I carried it around the house, tried it on with different outfits and put all my stuff in it.  Now I'm in love


The silk lining is soooooo soft and wonderful!  Every time I reach in to grab something it feels so nice.  And it's not the bottomless pit I worried it would be.

cute! i almost wish i had gotten it at the sample sale yesterday! they had that bag (but the lining was different.. as these were samples). i couldn't make up my mind so i didn't get it.
