okay for some reason I used to like black pants/skirts but now it seems like I find it harder to put things with it. I find my self drawn to brown and easier to work with. I do love the black and blue/teal combo but what else? Help please, I have a cute basic black skirt I want to wear more often
sorry I can't help much. Could it just be seasonal? I'm feeling uninspired by balc know too, but I think it's more because it's so nice out and black just seems so heavy... I'm sure I'll get back int oit in the fall/winter.
I have the same problem. I haven't worn my only pair of black pants for ages because nothing quite seems to go with them.
Then again, my new favorite color combination is black and olive green. It started when I bought a cute black jacket that I love to wear with olive cotton pants or a skirt that has a lot of olive green in it.
Now that I think about it, I should probably try to find an olive top to go with my black pants!
I'm obsessed with black-- most of my clothes are black and I have to force myself to buy things with color. Lately I've tried matching black basics with colorful pieces-- like a brightly colored blouse, tank, or tee with a plain black skirt or pants. If you can't get away from black, try mixing it up with some bright accessories like chunky wood necklaces, colorful scarves and shoes, and clutches or handbags in pretty colors.

I'm not a huge fan of black either (I much prefer brown) but at dinner tonight my friend had on the cutest outfit with black pants. She wore black pants, black strappy heels, a powder blue linen-y tank top with wide straps that buttoned at the top and cinched at the waist, and a few loops of pearls around her neck. It looked so cute and now I want to copy her.
