Are armpit to armpit measurements across the fullest part of the bust?  In other words, if a clothing item on ebay says that it measures 18 inches armpit to armpit, is that the fullest part of the chest or just above the bust?

I don't know, but I bet a seamstress could probably tell you.  My gut is that it is - what are you thinking of buying?
