Ok here are my thoughts:
The sling itself is very well made. The material is thick but seems to breathe well. All the seams are re-inforced and very strong. I love the print and that it is reversible, and at the price point this was one of the less expensive that was this cute. It was comfortable to wear, especially because the part that goes over the shoulder seems a little wider than most I've seen. The pouch has a nice depth, deep enough that a sleeping infant can be shaded from the sun and prying stragners fingers. But it's not so deep that I had difficulty putting Madelin in a semi-sitting position facing sideways.

My thoughts on baby wearing with a pouch:
Well Madeline is 10 weeks and between 11-12 pounds, about 23 inches long, she fit okay. I think she was a bit squished when fully lying down. She seemed to not enjoy that postion for that reason when she was awake, but I moved her to it when she fell asleep. Also it was a little difficult to switch her postion in the sling while I wore it, again she seemed kind of tight in there. This does not make for a happy baby, being moved and squished, but maybe I need more practice. Although it worked fairly well for us, I think at her size she is better off in more upright postions in the sling. Smaller babies may be okay lying fully in the sling. I hope we'll get more use out of it when she can sit up in the next 6 to 8 weeks.
