Speaking of Louboutin Knock-offs

so this week i pre-ordered these puppies...

Open-Toe Platform Pumps well, i noticed on the steve madden website that he came out with these....

i know this sounds bratty, and maybe it's what i get for ordering a trendy shoe, but i'm scared that there's going to be the Jessica Simpson Barb effect with these shoes now.  I don't want to be walking around the street in a sea of knock-offs.  i mean even if i have the real thing, i don't want to see them EVERYWHERE.  to be honest, it's kinda the reason that i don't carry my real LV bag anymore.

am i crazy?  i really love these shoes....

I am a bit embarrassed to carry my Speedy around these days because of the k/o effect. I have the Barbs becasue I can't afford the Bruges (and people stop me on the street even though the soles of my shoes aren't red), but I do know what you're saying. So if I was to blow $400-600 on shoes, I'd probably go Eugenia Kim, Ashley Dearborn or a less well known brand like Pedro Garcia where the designs are much less mainstream or where the detailing is near-impossible to reproduce at a lower price point.

So I promise that you're not bratty, and if I was in your position I would feel the exact same way. If you love the style buy both and see which one is more worth your while.

it's not the price point that i'm worried about, since i love them, as much as seeing them all over the place that i get sick of my very nice very expensive shoes and therefore don't wear them as much.  i have a really good shoe selection, i'm interested in upgrading it a bit with some really fabulous pieces.

I have the JS Barbs, and to be honest the reason I bought those and not the Louboutins was the same as yours.  I love the shoe and the style but I wasn't going to spend that kind of money on the Louboutins if everyone was going to be walking around in them.  If u can't beat them, join them!

Why not get one of the Gucci platforms we were admiring before?  I saw them in Neimans the other day and they're to die for!

You know they are the real deal.  To me, you'll have that extra little sass in your step because they are so well made and fab by the way. Thank God I live in MI and lots of people in my city have never even heard of LV so I can safely carry my speedy. Rock them girlfriend!
