shirt ideas for skirt :with pic:

My mother recently bought a skirt at White House Black Market and she would like some ideas on what to wear with it. We couldn't find a picture of it online but it is black with small white polka dots. The material of the skirt is silky and it has like a ruffle underneath.


Any ideas on what to wear as tops? I will try to find a picture of a similar skirt soon.

I'm sorry...I don't get it...isn't it just a black skirt with white polka dots?


If so....black, white, red are all safe options for a top or for shoes.


I plan on trying a jewel toned blue with my black and white options....


What exactly is she looking for?

Yes its for my mom. Just the pictures of the skirt are on me. I know a lot of colors go with it she was just stumped on what style of shirt to wear with it... and I was too! She is 48 so everywhere we looked for something it was either too revealing or young for her, in her opinion.
