Is this trend over?

First of all...hello ladies!  I've been away because of the end of school and finals.  I really shouldn't be on here now...should be studying. Anyway...I hope everyone is doing well!

Here is my question:

Dress over jeans?  I think Gwen Stafani looks so cute with her dress over jeans look.  I know she's pregnant, but is this trend something we can all still do?  I've been hesitant to do this trend...but I recently bought this black knit dress that looks really cute over jeans.  I just didn't want to do it until I heard from you ladies.

Will I look cute or like a fashion victim?

Personally, I think it depends on the dress, but I do like that look as well- do you have a pic of the dress? I think it would help to see it

no, it's far from over - actually it's an extremely prevalent look right now.  it's almost impossible to avoid when looking at spring/summer fashions or celebrities. a spin off of this look is dresses over leggings.

I plan on wearing shirtdresses this way. I do this with all of my shorter dresses and I really like it.

I like the dress over jeans look. My boyfriend always makes fun of me when I wear it, though.

I guess to keep it fresh, wear it with skinny or straight jeans and not bootcut. Personally I am getting tired of seeing leggings with dresses, every teeny bopper retailer has bastardized the concept.

i think the look is not out, but i don't really feel that this is a look that everyone can pull off, so if you feel really secure in the outfit, go for it.  as long as you will be wearing the outfit, not the outfit wearing you.

i still like this look.  i think it's one of those things that won't be out for a while b/c it never became so mainstream that it was EVERYWHERE.

My boyfriend makes fun of me too. I think he just doesn't get it :)

I only have one dress that I like wearing over jeans and I always make sure I'm wearing very, very fitted jeans so it doesn't look bulky. I think it's cute and funky.
