So I need help. I mentioned in another post that this summer I'll be clerking with the in-house counsel department at national corporation (if you're interested, it's a chain of resturants). Next week I'm going to lunch with the attorney who I will be working under this summer. I've met other people in the legal department & HR but the lady who will actually be overseeing me and was out of town during the interview process so we've never met. She asked me to lunch in a very sweet email so we can discuss my career goals and what I want to get out of the experience (umm, a job after graduation would be nice!).
So, what do I wear??? I already have the job so I don't have to wear a formal interview suit. What other people in the office wear depends on what they have to do that day... it ranges from business casual to formal suits. So I really don't know if she'll be in a suit or something less formal.
We're going to a popular lunch place where there will be other business-y people.
So what should I wear? And visuals would be great too!
i always think a wrap dress is perfect for things like this. espically if you keep the print fresh and the accessories simple. plus it would be a good investment piece for work clothes. if not a simple blouse and slacks with a peep toe shoe would be great as well.
check out these wrap dresses
this is a classic DVF wrap dress. you will use it for years to come. choclate brown keeps it from being to basic and black and boring. wear it with knee high boots in the fall or heels in the spring.
these shoes with gold jewlery would be a classic yet fresh look.
brown and white is always a fun twist on a classic. wear these shoes with the brown wrap dress and this bag
this print is a little more aggressive but so fun and fresh i love it. in the fall wear it casually over a paper thing long sleeve black cashmere sweater and slouchy knee high boots. in spring wear it alone with black pumps for work or a wedge heel for going out.
I think I would wear a nice blouse or button up with a pencil skirt but no jacket. It seems to be a nice in between as far as business/business casual.
