Anyone live in Chicago?
Permalink Closed

I'm moving to Chicago in late summer and I'm really excited to be in a new city. But I don't know many ppl there but am looking for apartment recommedations. Does anyone live in downtown Chicago and love (or hate) their apartment building? Thanks to anyone who can help!

Yeah! Welcome to Chicago. I live in River North but in a condo. What area are you looking for? I can recommend areas to you and even some good apartment finders. (company who drives you around to look at building that are available).

Oh that would be so helpful-- thank you so much! I'm going to be working in the Loop and want to live somewhere close by-- I'm thinking River North, Gold Coast, Streeterville, or the Loop itself. I would be grateful for any apt recommendations (or ones to stay away from) or good apt finders. Thanks for your help!

I live in Lakeview in a great building - I'd be happy to recommend it, but I'm not sure if Lakeview is too far outside the loop for you?

How far outside the loop is Lakeview? If it's not too far away, I would love to hear a recommendation

Let's put it this way - I live right around the corner from the El, so it takes me maybe 20 mins door to door to get to my job in the loop, which is by Union Station.

If you're interested, I live in the Sheffield Lofts on Sheffield and Diversy.  I can pm you more info if you want!

Oh 20 minutes outside the Loop is not too bad at all. Your building looks so great-- I love lofts.
