I just received this in the mail:

And I was so disappointed. The leather was super soft and buttery - yes. But the big metal ring on the front, as well as some of the gold metal studs all over the bag, had nicks in them, which were rusty! They are also a very bright, very shiny gold. I've got to be honest - IMO, it looked like when you find cheap gold jewelry and you can see the gold finish is chipping away..... I called Active Endeavors this morning to ask if they could look at the other ones they had in stock, to see if they had the same problem. I just got a call back -- the woman said the metal on all of them had the same rusting problem, and she said it surprised her considering the price of the bag.

I have this, in tan, and it is so soft and so well-made. I can't say enough good things about it, and I'm considering the white one as well! HTH.

jj, I have the medium AB, and it's the perfect size for me. I think Collette has the medium one as well. I got mine from Feng Junk, which is an authorized retailer of AB bags, and I was very pleased with their CS - they are awesome. There's a 15% off code for them right now, too. Let me know if you want it!

Here's the scale of the medium - I'm 5'4", if that helps.

i am so surprised! i just checked mine out and it definitely isnt like that- so weird! such a bummer!
