I just need to vent a little bit.


Why do some parents have to invite the whole village to their kid's wedding when the daugther already told them how many tables they can have.  But still insisted getting more tables when  the daugther can't even invited most of the people on her own guest list. 


Me and my man don't like big parties.  So I picked a smaller place for the purpose of a small wedding reception.    Not going to happean.  I wanted only 30 tables with a nice size dance floor and still be comfortable to move around.   Now it looks like about 38 tables with a very small dance floor and the place is going be tight.


Get this, I have only 4 tables for friends, my man have 7 tables for friends, his parents only 5 tables and my parents have the rest.   Mom stills complains about not being able to invite her friends.  My dad only invited 3 friends.  So the rest are family and I don't know like half of them. It's like a whole village from China is coming the wedding.  Just this morning my mom told me there are people she wanted to invite and can we get more tables for her.

I had the opposite problem, we couldn't get my FI's parents to invite anyone! They said they didn't want to babysit them all night. But then we invited 120 and the Reception location only holds 80, so up until last week I was so scared that I was going to have to rent a tent!

Good luck, sounds like one big party! On a selfish note, think of all the wonderful presents you will get!
