STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

Last night my husband and I went to a few shops to try and find a dress for the Oaks. Every one I tried on he kept saying - I like the one at home better.  I had no clue what he was talking about but he kept insisting that I had a dress at home that would work perfectly.  I found a couple things but nothing I loved.  So when I got home I went into my extra bedroom, and looked in my extra closet and found the dress he was referring to. I had bought it for a wedding reception, had it altered to fit, wore it once, and then never had another reason to get it out. 

I'm not 100% sure about it and would like some opinions.  I would NOT be wearing these shoes with it.  They're really not for walking.  But if I went with this dress I'd probably do a black hat, black wedges, and either a turquoise or green clutch.

Should I make this work or keep looking??
