My niece has asked me to be her Godmother for her 1st Communion this Saturday.


I am in a rush to find a dress so i checked out bebe this weekend and I found this.  I am not sold on it.  My hubby doesnt like it and I don't feel too comfy in it but I actually think It might be appropiate enough!?! I really can't tell.


What do you ladies think? I am planning to wear a shrug/cardigan over it while in church but I'll be okay wearing a strapless bra afterwards.


I am just not 100% sold on it and i need reassurance that it is a cute dress and it looks great on me.


If not then I might just have to call in sick tomorrow to find a dress!!!!

hmmm...I feel like this dress is weird. It's not a bad dress and you coudl wear it if you absolutely had to, but I think that you have such a cute figure and great skintone that you shouldn't have to settle for such an average dress. I also don't see it as something you'd wear to communion. I think communion, I think Anthro...any chance you can stop by one?

You're too cute for that dress sweetie - hope you can find something else. It's not that it looks bad, but it only looks ok because you're cute, not because it's a cute dress.

I'm just wondering because you said she asked you to be her "godmother", is this a first communion for a girl around 2nd grade age, or an adult who is converting?

If for a younger girl, I think usually most of them will be in white dresses themselves, I'm not sure you want to wear a white dress in addition. Kind of like wearing a white dress to a wedding.

If you aren't 100% sold get something else that you love. Also the dress seems kind of loose at the bust.
