I have a casual wedding reception to go to in the beginning of June in Maryland. I think it's going to be an outdoor party/picnic. The reception is for some friends who already got married a few weeks ago so it's just a reception, no actual wedding. I also have a bachelorette party, just drinks and dinner, in NYC the following weekend and I'd like to wear the same dress since there will be different people at each event. Which do you think...
#1 Anthro Dress - I love this but is this too much white for a wedding reception?
#2 Mimo dress in plum
#3 Mimo Dress in black - see above
#4 Delia's black strapless dress (I'm posting it in white to show the detail better) - I actually have this dress and it's really cute on and fits surprisingly well.
I like the anthro dress, and I think it would probably be ok since its just a reception (and I'm normally a huge don't wear white to a wedding person). I mean, the dress is super casual and not bride-like at all. Do you know if she's wearing a wedding gown?
The Anthro dress is REALLY cute, but I think it's too memorable for its own good. I also think the fabric has a strictly daytime/picnic/bbq vibe. I think the Mimo dress has a lot more mileage. The dress is more basic so you can work with it more easily.

Thanks for all the input, ladies. I ended up ordering the Mimo dress in plum because I think it might be the most versatile. We'll see how it works out.
I saw that Anthro dress yesterday in person and just so you know, it's very much NOT a white dress. The stripes look a lot more subtle in the photo than they do IRL - it's actually a very colorful dress.
