Paris designer Tara Jarmon will soon head to Target as part of the company's use of revolving guest designers. She will create a spring/summer line (a Jarmon jacket, available at Amazon.com for $300 is pictured here) for Target, following the departure of London-based fashion designer Luella Bartley, a former editor at Vogue and a favored designer of Kate Moss, who is currently showing 80s-inspired, punk looks at the store. Much of Luella's collection sold out at the online store, but who knows how Tara, whose line hits Target in 11 days, will be received? Nevertheless, it's fun to see these designer head to the discount racks.

I've always found Target's "Designer" stuff disappointing. The Mizrahi stuff runs Giganto and seems so plain, while the Luella stuff runs so teensy and looks like the type of stuff I would have loved 20 years ago.
I think the new stuff looks very cute on page! I'm excited to go check everything out. Hopefully the fit isn't all wonky, like most Target things tend to be.

The model's dress is cute, and before I saw a lot of positive comments about it on other shopping sites I seriously considered it. I wonder what other dresses and jackets will be available.
That shirtdress....yummy! I am already imagining the possibilities!
I KNOW!!! That shirtdress might be THE shirtdress I've been searching for!! I love what Target's doing, all this anticipation is great. And the fact that the Luella stuff will go on sale in about a week (I want the rainbow criss-cross tank)
That is the shirtdress for me. I have been salivating over the DVF shirtdress here:
but I think I like the Tara one with the polka dots better. Unfortunately, I don't have a Target near me, but I am going shopping in a couple of weeks to Target about 3 hours away. I just hope the Tara shirtdress is available when I go.
