Thanks for all your help ladies, in choosing a dress for my two upcoming weddings. I decided to go w/the black/bronze version of this dress:
I am comfortable wearing it to weddings because it's not all black. Also, I'm fair skinned and my BF and mom thought this color wouldn't wash me out as much as the beige.
Anyhow - now I need your help accessorizing me in this dress! I'm thinking bronze shoes? And what kind of jewelry?
Please post any and all ideas for shoes and jewelry. TIA!
If you plan on pulling your hair back, I know I have the perfect pair of earrings on my website. I think long sparkling earrings would be great. I also think, if you're going with your hair down, that something really simple would work very well- maybe just a strand of faceted black crystal. You could go fancy, too, though.:)
LOVE the earrings that detroit posted. I agree with Elle regarding jewelry - long earrings and no necklace, or studs and chain necklace(s). Though IMO the dress is fancy enough on its own - I wouldn't add any necklace. Just the long, sexy earrings.

I personally prefer either stud or small drop earrrings and a necklace, or long dangly earrings and no necklace with strapless dresses. For shoes, I'd do something without a high ankle strap because of the mid-calf dress length. $46$50 $60
Elle - the dress hits right below the knee - not mid calf. Does that change your mind about the shoes?
typically, I would agree with you elle with the ankle strap, because it can chop a leg short. the t-straps I posted are a lighter bronze and will probably blend with shopchicago's legs (which are thin and long - I think this gives her more ability to get away with an ankle strap - especially if it's not too contrasty with her legs)

I personally think no ankle straps looks more elegant with a fancier dress. For more casual or work-appropriate things I really like the ankle strap look, but I just really prefer bare ankles in this case . But I'm not the one wearing the dress! If you're comfortable with ankle straps, by all means, get yourself some ankle straps!

Detroit and Elle - thank you both for your suggestions...I like both ideas...so keep the posts of ankle straps and non-ankle straps coming! I think I'll try a few of both pairs on and see what works, but I love both of your ideas
