I was just about to post on this too.  I do like the show and the concept but...I feel bad saying this, but I don't like Brian (or the actor who plays Brian).  The guy just bugs me.  I don't think he's cute, funny, clever- he just gets on my nerves.  I didn't like him on 7th Heaven either.  Maybe it's his hair that really bugs me?  I don't know-he just seems like the kind of guy that is "too nice" (we all know the type) and is just not manly enough.

I had to get that off my chest...but I DO like the show!

Oh good - I'm glad someone else is watching this show!  I like it so far!  I'm curious to see what happens w/the married couple w/kids as well.  I feel bad for the husband because he doesn't want the open marriage...

I like the whole love triangle thing w/Brian/Marjorie/Adam - reminds me of Felicity w/Ben and Noel!

I am liking this show so far, too.

I don't have anything else to add, but just wanted to say there is another person watching out there.

I love Brian's dog, the little scruffy one. I am such a softie for scruffy little dogs.

I'm kinda liking this show - the actors seem to have some good chemistry together already.

However, the infertility storyline totally cheeses me off!  If they aren't going to represent things correctly, then why bother?  You'd think they'd do some research considering it's the main plot line for two of the characters .  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I watched the first episode and found it totally dull and totally unoriginal.  I just read the Pajiba.com review of the show and it PERFECTLY described my reaction to it.  This is one I'm gonna pass on.

I watched last night!  I feel so bad for that blonde girl's husband - he totally doesn't want the open marriage and she's so desperate to screw someone else.  She really thinks that's going help their marriage??  Uh ok.

I like that girl Brian likes too - she's cute and I thought it was so sweet she fed the meters too!  Does anyone else think that Marjorie and Adam might not get married?

I was just waiting for someone to post about this show! I have been sorta watching it. I turn it on and then clean, putz around with the TV on.

I am not crazy about Brian's looks, but I feel for him and his personality. He just seems like a "real" guy that you can kind of feel bad for. And I think Marjorie seems really cool, too.

The only storyline I don't care for is the infertility couple. Bo-ring. I don't even care what happens to them.

ha ha ha

i totally agree. i can't STAND that actor. it is like he is so close to being cute and cool and then somehow he screws it up and is just annoying as all hell. i didn't really watch 7th heaven that much but between him and the one that played the blond sister that ended up having a baby and becoming a pastor i really can't stand either one of them.  ugh!

oh but life of brian seems like it is ok.  i just thought the whole open marriage thing was a little sholcky. it was like the writers watched a few episodes of some hbo/showtime show and were trying to come up with some sort of EDGY plot line to grab the audience. i mean the hubby and wife have one late night conversation about possibly having an open marriage that is inturrupted and the next night she goes out to have sex with another man. . .i mean HELLO shouldn't they talk about it at least one more time. . .jeesh.

I agree with everyone on not really liking the Brian character even though he is supposed to be the main one on the show. Last night (5/1/06) where he and that girl were hooking up and they kept going back from that to everyone elses day - the b-day party, the registering, the mood swings/soccer - and every time they came back to Brian and that girl I was like "OK already, you are having great sex and you really like eachother and Brian even TURNED DOWN his phone and let you use his toothbrush, yada yada yada, get me back to one of the other stories!!" I just have NEVER liked him as an actor.

P.S. I don't think the engaged couple will get married either. And for the record, I am so sick of the overdone "engaged couple with problems they don't yet see" act. It's the SAME thing in so many shows and movies. They are in love but when they need to start doing all the wedding stuff one of them doesn't care and starts to withdraw and the other one gets all upset and "why don't they care about registering??" It's really boring and obvious, they need to think of another way to portray "that couple".
