I recently found out that one of my best friends is getting married. She is not going to have a bridal shower or anything, but I would still like to get her something. Any ideas? Thanks.
I am still looking for an engagement present for my oversees friend, so am interested in everyones ideas as well.
My original idea was a tiffany & co silver picture frame, but now that I bought it and know that i will be going to their wedding, i think im saving it for the wedding, since its a somewhat expensive engagement present IMO.

sorry if im totally hijacking this thread, but halleybird, that is such a great idea to give a planning book or something. This had me thinking, of maybe giving a little conglomeration of a few different things the soon to be bride may need in planning her wedding, since ive never been married i have no clue what those might be, just cheapish type things that would be really useful to her. I would also like to get the groom to be a small thing as well, since ive never met him and want to show i didnt forget about him.
They are both from england, so any cute little american (not american flags per se!) things to throw in would be cute
Thanks in advance... and hopefully this helps KEL too!

Nicoley maybe we can brainstorm and come up with stuff together. I also don't know the groom. I like the idea of a planning book but my friend is getting married in July (kind of quick), so that won't be of a help, but that is a good idea halleybird.
I really like the idea of champagne and flutes... question, how could i order it online to be shipped to england... and what would be a decent champagne, that isn't expensive but won't be crappy? Anyone with where i could find this and how to go about it, please pm me!

I gave a friend of mine this book when she got engaged, it looks like it's out of print now, but there are lots of books like this, kind of a prepare-to-have-an-adult-home kind of thing, helpful for figuring out what to register for, etc. Making a Home
