I went to Nordstrom Rack the other weekend for the first time. I was rather disappointed. While I think there are some good deals to be found there, it was very unorganized and their handbag selection SUCKED. Lots of things didn't seem like they would even be found in a Nordstrom in the first place in terms of quality/brand (the jewelry for example).


What about your Nordstrom Rack? Is it pretty good, hit-or-miss, or just bad?

I think Nordstrom Rack is definitely very hit or miss.  I usually find cute shoes but you never know with the clothes and accessories.  I've gotten joes jeans and AG jeans there for less than $60 but I've also walked out empty handed.

I think by their nature they tend to be hit and miss.  I usually have good luck with shoes and bras, decent luck with clothes, so-so luck with jewelry and accessories, and baaaad luck with bags.  Sometimes I have to put things back so I don't break the bank, other times I walk out completely empty handed.


Kinda like upscale thrifting !

I think it's hit-or-miss too.


Are you on their mailing list? Every month I get a little postcard from them letting me know that they are getting new designer merchandise in on a particular day. If you come in early on that day, there is a really good selection to choose from.

I tend to have really good luck in the shoe department, and I've gotten most of my favorite shoes at the Rack.  I also like them for cheapie trendy assessories that I know I'll get tired of.


I rarely bother with the clothes.  I don't like to sift through a lot of crap to find one or two things.


My husband likes the men's clothing section for work stuff.  He has a shirt and tie kind of job and they tend to have a big selection.

I agree that it is very hit or miss.  I got a pair of joe's and sevens for 55 and 80.  Their shoe selection is pretty good too.
