I promise ... will lose weight! My boyfriend lost 20lbs. and he wasn't even fat! Also remember muscle weighs more than fat, but when you increase muscle you decrease fat.-- Edited by lollipop at 14:19, 2006-04-13 eating fruit with breakfast is good, but fruit alone won't give you the energy you need to start your day.  blubirde is doing exactly the right thing by eating peanut butter in the morning - a great source of protein

I agree with the protein thing. I used to not focus on protein that much and I was constantly snacking. Now that I make sure I'm getting a source of protein in every meal, it curbs my "reach-for" appetite a lot.

So I went to WI and I lost 2 pounds. I'm happy about that because hey, it's 2 pounds but I was really hoping for anything over 2. Like 2.1 or something, just so I knew gaining last week was an anomaly. But I guess it wasn't and that's that. I'll continue doing what I'm doing but I'll see what I can do about incorporating more fresh foods into my routine more.

Sodium: So far, not including pb & bread which I'm not at home to see, I've had 1000 mg of sodium, mainly from the SB wrap. I'm assuming that's a lot. Any idea what a reasonable amount is for a daily intake? And if I overdo it on sodium, should I drink an extra glass of water or something (in addition to my 6-8)?

most people need 1,000-1,500 a day. the high end of ok is 2,400 mg. per day. most people consume about 4,000 mg.

congrats on the loss. a loss is a loss. you're doing great. just keep up what you're doing and you'll see the difference.

Have you tried Weight Watchers "core" program?  The core plan cuts out some carbs (but still allows heathy carbs like oatmeal, beans, etc).  For some people, cutting the carbs really helps.
