Thought I'd start a new topic about this from RyanJ's thread: http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=44784&subForumID=102163&action=viewTopic&commentID=6509216&topicPage=

The other thing that I did was sign up for this new thing I read on Daily Candy ages ago (http://www.dailycandy.com/article.jsp?ArticleId=23202&city=4). It's a customized personal trainer session and cardio workout on DVD that gets mailed to you once a month - kind of like NetFlix. I like it! It's a great supplement for an in-person session and a lot more affordable! (only $25/month). It might work for her - she can work out at her leisure at home. I can also keep you posted on how my progress goes if you are interested.

YES, I'd love to hear about your progress on this program!!  Could you tell me more about it?  Are the sessions with free weights?  Do you feel like they are challenging enough?

Hi Alikat,
So after much procrastination, I tried out my PUSH DVD last night. It's AWESOME! I love it. I have had trainers for years and I think this is a great substitute. First sign it was good, was that I broke a sweat right away. Second, was when Bob (the trainer I selected - its the guy from the Biggest Loser show) Harper told me not to give up - it was like a real trainer right there in my living room coaching me through the last few seconds of a tough exercise; and finally - I am SOOOOO sore today! That's a good thing! I'm going to try it again tonight - I'll keep you posted.

i did two months of Push TV.

i got bored and switched to my pilates dvd.

and then my Core dvd.

and i still carry around my PUSH TV dvd when i travel- but i opt for the pilates before it.

i dunno- it was okay for about 6 weeks and then i got tired of it and thought it was cheesy.

just my two cents.

Really - that's a bummer. Did you change any trainers or music or routines on your second month? I haven't even gotten my second one yet and I've already switched it up. Just for variety. Why do you like your Pilates better? Do tell!
