so i'm on the shopping ban, but i have allowed myself a budget of $200 to buy a few items for a beach vacation that we have coming up the week of july 4th. that includes a new bathing suit and a few key beachy pieces since i've packed on a few pounds since my honeymoon. i'm fine with skirts and have one pair of gauzey white beach pants, so i'm looking for a few tunic/beach dress type pieces.


i got this new catalog in the mail yesterday and while most of it looks fairly fuddy-duddy, there were a few pieces that caught my eye. so i was wondering what people think of...

I'm not sure about the other two, I think the second one would be okay for a beach coverup.  I'm not really feeling the third one.

I really like the first one. The second one looks too hot. It is making me hot just looking at it. The third seems lighter. I think it is ok.

Love the first one, love the style of the second one but the material just looks like you'll be sweltering in it. I like #3 as well!

I like the first one  best.  Second one is a nice style, but the fabric looks too heavy for summer wear.  Don't like the third one.

I love #1, like #3 and I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought #2 looked hot.  It reminds me of those photo shoots where the model wears a bikini and chunky sweater - cute, but not so practical.

They're ok, smash, but without prices it's hard to say. 


Have you seen the stuff at JCrew.  They have a lot of stuff in the $40 - $50 range that could enable you to get several pieces (and Lord knows there is probably a coupon code around to save even more moola)
