My DH took my baby kitty Zeus to get her little "fixed" surgery today. I feel AWFUL - she was scared to death. I know it's good & they have to go but damn it makes me feel like I'm handing her over to the butcher.
And of course my big cat is freaked out because he's seen a few kitties leave in a carrier & never come back so he's already looking for her. And I'm working from home so I will have him whining in the background all day. He is funny though - he sounds like he says "hello" "hello"

Aww, Laken, I'm so sorry! Good thoughts coming Zeus' way! I feel the same way whenever I have to take one of my pets for that sort of thing. It's heartbreaking, but we all have to do it.
Oohhhh, poor Zeusie! Scared little kitties break my heart . She'll be fine in the end though - I'm sure the vet will treat her very well . Before you know it she'll be home tearin' it up again!

Thanks ladies for the good wishes - she's on her way home! Apparently she did ok - DH left work 2 hours early to go get her - I think he is more worried than I am. But I think that's because he took her & feels oh so guilty!
She will be a year old April 18th but just went into heat for the first time about 3 weeks ago maybe. I told DH this morning - when Bijoux was her age she had kittens already. So sad. I can't even imagine Zeus being ready for that - Bijoux wasn't either for that matter. But especially my poor little challenged baby.
