Ladies can you help on this? I want to find the right colors of make-up for my skin tone. I am not sure if I am warm, or cool and if I have yellow undertones or pink undertones I dont mind going to a beauty consultant if I have to.Do you know of any? Thanks

I would go to a beauty counter and ask for help.  Clinque is good and Sephora does it as well.

I second that. The Sephora staff is great and very helpful ALL the time. If you can't get to one, I've had good experiences with Chanel counters too. Really...and makeup counter will be willing to help you. Just make it clear that you're not interested in a purchase before-hand.

I often wonder what colors/make-up is good for my skintone; I've gone to a make-up counter at Dillards, and I think they OVERdid me, than how I usually do, but all in all, it was a nice experience. I may have to go again, just so I'll know. I also don't like when they ask me 'what do you like'? LOL Oh well.

As far as warm vs. cool, I think that was a big 80s-90s thing and really isn't that relevant today. But a good way to tell what colors would look good on your face is to determine what clothes look good on you. Do bright colors look better or muted colors or earthtones or what?

Personally, I look best in bold colors but not neon colors. Beiges and tans and browns tend to wash me out. I translate this into makeup colors by choosing a red lipstick with blue undertones, as opposed to orange ones, neutral shadows with tinges of pinks and greys instead of oranges and browns, and blushes with a bit of red in them, as opposed to orange or bright pink. Of course I use all kinds of colors but for instance on brown shadows, I go towards the mocha/greyish/smoky brown as opposed to a yellowish brown.

So what colors do you wear that make people go wow - your eyes are really bright or stuff like that?
