I'm mostly concerned about outfits for sightseeing and shopping (b/c I'll need comfy shoes, and I suck with finding and wearing comfy shoes). I want to be practical, but still be myself and, of course, not look ridiculous. NYC girls - any thoughts?

Just a heads up--I have these shoes and while they're not *too* bad, they're not the most comfortable shoes in the world, so be sure to break them in before you head to NYC.
They're SUPER cute IRL, but not as comfy as I'd like. The heel rubs me a bit, but I think given some time they'll be okay.
One word of warning - if you are going to be in NYC in July - August, I would switch the jeans to a skirt or shorts. It gets hot and humid here, so you might swelter in a pair of jeans
