jah -- they're sold out of the gap flats in my size. i've been trying to get them forever.

but also i kind of want something that's going to last awhile. black flats are a staple in my wardrobe, so i'm not opposed to spending more money.

i am torn....

i have about 5 pairs of sigerson shoes and 1 pair of the rubber flats. i would say that the ones that are normal colors (not my patent leather baby blue or apple green flats) are the shoes i wear the most in my collection. they are GREAT for work, but even with that... yet i still find it hard to pay that much for these shoes. i only paid full price for two pairs and both were about $300. sigerson has gotten steep in the past couple of years.

as a lower price alternative, have you thought about delman? i have two pairs of delman flats that i got at a sample sale for $75 each... and they are right up there, in terms of amount of use, with the sigersons. even at retail price, they are less than $250. i would say look into delman first. i think they have a lot of classic styles and they are definitely worth the money.

but i do have to say... no one makes a polished, clean and modern flat like sigerson.. damn their prices.

oh btw, they are not doing that crazy sale any more... but sign up for email notifications on the website. they usually let you know when they do reductions online.
