can this be done? i bought a c&c one in my size, and it swims on me, and has stretched out since the first wear. is there anyway to make it smaller? tia.
There is something called "felting" when you put natural yarn in the washer and agitate it. It will shrink it and become smaller. You lose the distincion of the knitted rows (does that make sense? not sure how to explain it). Washing it or putting it in the dryer will achieve this effect.
Cashmsere does felt as well as other wool, so I am not sure if it would shrink or not. My gut tells me that is would probaby shrink, but I don't know how much and if it did shrink it you may lose the knitted rows.
This is a pretty worthless response. I don't think i told you anything.
Here are examples of felting.
