I know nothing of the quality, but Mango is opening a B&M store in Santa Monica so I'm eagerly awaiting opportunities to touch and try everything on.

I've owned a couple Mango items and shopped at their stores in Asia. Overall I think the stuff is decent quality, on par with Express or Zara.

yeah I think they've been open for about 2-3 months now...but I just found out last month myself

I was excited because I really love mango's. But err...I was not really digging the stuff they had on the site. The stuff in-store is better IMO. I have a few of their things, the quality of descent, I may venture to see it's slightly better than Zara's.
I've had too many things from Zara fall apart at the seam

Nice! I love Mango - my basic winter jacket is from them, which I bought 3 1/2 years ago in France, so I'd say their quality is pretty decent.

i only have experience with Mango while I was in China. To me, their quality was more comparable to H&M, but I wonder if the european stores carry nicer stuff?? I am intrigued by their site though, but the prices seem a bit high to the weak dollar.

Yeah, the prices do seem a bit high - but I am used to seeing them in GBP so of course they look cheaper there but really are still expensive.
