Ugh- what do I do about this?

I sold two pairs of Serfontaine cords to the same person (2 diff. colors). I personally had bought them myself from a dept store for around $150 each a few years ago and they've just been sitting in my closet, so I sold them. So today I get an email from the person that bought them saying, and I quote: "give me my $ bak these are fak"

what the hell??? these are not fake, and this person is clearly loony. how would you handle? i dont want them posting feedback saying i am selling fake clothes when i most certainly am not, but I don't want to give in either! Argh...

How aggravating!  First, someone who spells like that is already a stinker in my book, but I'm nerdy like that.  I haven't been Ebaying for that long so my suggestion may not be as good as from a more experienced user, but here's my 2 cents.  I'd respond to the buyer and say something like "These are 100% authentic Serfontaine cords, not fake.  Please visit a department store in your area which sells Serfontaine to see them in person and you will realize what I've sold you is authentic."  I dunno -- how's that sound?

I would have them send them back to you so you can resell them and even though you might have to pay for shipping and a relisting fee, it's better than getting negative feedback saying you're selling fakes.

You could say something along the lines of "The clothes I sold you are not fakes.  However, if you truly do not want them, then please send them back to me and I will refund your money."  Or something along those lines.

Geez, is there something weird in the air?  There's been a lot of wacko buyers lately.  I agree w/NCshopper.   Have the buyer send them back and resell them and avoid this weirdo ruining your excellent feedback rating.
